This list explores film opening and closing titles as means of giving credit to production teams. But what does it mean to give credit? Taking these sequences out of their context shifts the focus to the backend of film production, the design of elements that lie outside the story. These sequences are a rare space where the real and imaginary identities of cast and crew members can coexist, and develop their own distinct aesthetics outside yet concurrent to the film world.
